I was just at Kmart today and all their clothing that is already on clearance is an additional 40% off. I did see jeans and other items that would work for school.Old Navy is having an additional 50% off their clearance 7/27 - 7/29.
Last year I bought almost all my girls jeans on clearance and paid an average of $4 to $6 per pair. That included my teenagers. I was able to get Levi Strauss and Dickies for a steal last year. So it does work you just have to really look for it.
