My Menu.....

This week is the perfect example of how using the GrocerySmarts method works.  Meat is not a good price this week.  However last week I stocked up on meat when I was able to get chicken breasts on sale for 1.39/lb and 93% lean ground beef for 1.99/lb.  However there are still good deals to be found.  I put together some recipes to work with what is on sale.

In addition to my quest for dinners on a dime I am now adding recipes for freezer meals.  I have far too many really busy days and am tempted to grab a quick bite to eat rather than cook dinner for the family.  Which then negates the money I saved with all my savvy shopping.  So I am listing the recipes I am going to try.  I hope you try them too and let me know what you think.

Breakfast Ideas this Week:
  • Anything with an emphasis on eggs.  Reams has them on sale for .79 a dozen and lots of other grocery stores have them for .99 a dozen- some ideas I have are Puffed Oven Pancakes, French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, etc.
  • Yogurt - Fresh Market .36 Yoplait
  • Kellogg's Cereal - Smith's big sale on cereal.  Make sure you read Utah Deal Diva's great ideas to save on cereal
Lunch:
  • Leftovers
  • Egg Salad Sandwiches
  • Deviled Eggs
